HELLO! MY NAME IS NATALIA

NATALIA_1x1.jpg

I’m a writer, an em-dash advocate, and an avid consumer of words. I spent the first 18 years of my life in Worcester, Massachusetts, before venturing down to the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee to pursue a communication degree, and then back up to the city of Syracuse, to pursue a magazine journalism degree.

I’m the nightiest of night owls, so during the hours I’m actually awake (and not working) I spend way too much time watching New Girl, home renovation TikToks and dog videos, but when I’m productive, I write stories about figuring out my life, culture, style, and womanhood.

I’m an Afro-Latina and a fetus in the natural hair journey (hence my bb fro) but I love my mane and all the new challenges it brings. Many things excite me, including–but not limited to–the enneagram, indie bookstores, Afro-Latinx owned small businesses, the smell of blueberry muffins, eating a REALLY good pupusa, a GOOD deep clean, the human mind, brunch, my adorable boyfriend Phillip, and the empowerment of other women.
